i'm a pretty quiet guy. i don't really talk unless there's something to talk about or i find something interesting. don't get me wrong, i like talking. i'm a cowboy (buckaroo to be specific), but i dress casual emo punk. some people say i dress preppy, but in my experience preps are rich dickheads, which i'm not. i like old traditions; ethics and morals. i love women of almost all kinds, young and old (legal, lol). i'm just out looking for fun right now, but if someone comes along and we hit it off, we can go from there.

Philosophy
(Body) - First and foremost I am Straightedge. What that basically means is I believe in a certain philosophy, one of mental and physical purity. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, I abstain from promiscuity and last but not least I listen to hardcore types of music such as melodic death metal, death metal, industrial etc. Obviously I am not your everyday kind of guy.

(Mind) - I think we all should set goals to better ourselves. I do them on a weekly basis whether it's a goal that is easily attainable to something I haven't done in 5 or more years. We all need to learn to overcome our fears and set individual standards for ourselves in order to become greater than what we are. By bettering ones self we are bettering the world around us. Living in the mundane and accepting that is abhorrent.

(Soul) - I believe in God but don't believe in any certain religion due to the fact that religion is man made and that prior to it, we all talked to God on the hilltops, not in churches. The whole 'Sunday Christian' is something we need to take a step away from, because God "dwells in us," not "in buildings". I believe the Churches and religious sects alienate the youth of today by being overbearing in their worship of the Lord. You don't force something, it has to come naturally.

I currently reside in Meadow Lake which is about 8 miles from Los Lunas. I attend the UNM of Valencia for Business Administration. I work full time for the most part and college is part time but I am going to change that here soon. I work out as much as possible (sometimes life just ruins that though), I pray daily and tend to write down my emotions in forms of poetry or lyrics.

I like firefighting is my biggest interest.. worked in the oil field for a few years befor moving back to new mexico that was really cool one of the better experiences of my life, i would like to get in touch with some old friends that i havent seen in a while .

I think currently its easy to describe me as a tinkerer. I like having projects to work on as well as hobbies such as metal detecting, craftsmanship, poison dart frogs and keeping up with electronics. I am just starting my third year and final year at UNM. I strutted back onto campus covered in playa dust on the third week of school due to my inability to read a calendar. Thankfully, it seems that the first semester of the third year of an MFA is all about thinking, planning and wondering why everyone else is working so hard.

I don't enjoy getting wasted, but a few drinks down in a night has kept the insanity at bey. I'm more into nightlife and get-togethers than hiking and physical sports. (With the noted exception of snowboarding. Being from Colorado it is kind of a mandate that one excel at some kind mountain activity) That being said, I am not opposed to trying anything I am always game for something new or something old through the eyes of someone new.

I'm not so much a fan of crowds. The mall makes me want to start throwing elbows, and if I'm at bar and I have to push my way to get a drink, I'd rather just leave. Alternately I get bored easily if the scene is not at all lively. Give me something other than the hum drum typical bar night out with the same old same olds and I am happy.

I try and take people for who they are and be as accepting as I would like others to be of me. I avoid drama at all costs and feel that I am fairly well grounded and empathetic. All that being said, I think I might actually secretly hate people.

One of my favorite things to do on a nice day is to go to the zoo and have a picnic and feed the ducks. I would say I am a very sarcastic person, I love to laugh. I think that one can find humor in almost anything. Oh and for those of you that do not want a woman with a kid then you might as well quit reading now because I have a wonderful 2 year old boy who is a major part of my life.

I am originally from Albuquerque, but got my BA from the University of Southern California and also spent some time working in Los Angeles before moving back to New Mexico. I have a cynical type of humor that touches on insanity at times, but rest assured, I am grounded by a love of logical rationale. Intelligence is my biggest turn on, and a lack thereof, my biggest turn off. Beyond that, I look for friends and significant others with a lust for life and a confidence that does not require constant validation. I do not require a woman to have my zeal for fitness, but I am looking for someone with a fundamental respect for her body and its condition. I love water skiing, snow skiing, powerlifting, guinness, dogs, showers, ranch dressing, gratuity, mockery, and cheap sunglasses.

I got my bachelor of science degree in biology from New Mexico State University, with minors in biochemistry and molecular biology. I am currently a Ph.D student at UNM in the biomedical sciences graduate program.

Why am I here? A mixture of boredom and curiosity, I suppose. Had I not worn myself out New Year's eve, I probably wouldn't be here :) The curiosity part comes from taking another approach to meeting people. My dating life took a severe downward turn when I entered grad school, so instead of blindly going out and trying to meet people, I figured I'd try a more directed approach.

I am more of an outdoors person and love sun, golf and snow skiing. I was sent to this site by a friend that said that there are real people on this site and had good luck here. I am new to Abq. and looking for someone to do things with and make new friends. I have lived in Scottsdale, Houston, Dallas and most recently in Washington DC. I love New Mexican, Italian and Asian Food. My friends say I look younger than I am, so I play younger too. :O)

I like to think of myself as a cool person but I think I like Star Wars and Zombie movies far too much to fit that category. I love watching movies and discussing them, listening to music and singing along loudly, and biking.

I have a passion for performance. I am not an expert in most areas but I used to play contrabass and I have sung in a few musicals (I can sing you a song in german if you are interested).

Im a smartass, loud mouth and I like to play around too much. Not looking for a girlfriend/wife or even hookup but whatever happens happens. It would just be nice to be able to talk to someone who is not a patient of mine. Drunks and drug overdoses are not very stimulating to the mind after the 30th of the month.....

I enjoy spontaneity, chaos, and groove. Groove is important, but not really imperative. Imagine a conglomerate of Stephen Hyde, Jack Sparrow, and Frederich Nietzsche, and you might have a clearer picture.

For all my weekend antics, my biggest problem is that I trip too much on philosophy. I often feel as if I'm lost within some alien theater, stumbling through a society that is barbaric but occasionally amusing.

I am a divorced father of a boy and girl 10 and 8 years old, they are my joy and drive my priorities in life I work in natural reource management overseeing programs in AZ, NM, OK, and TX so my job takes me on the road multiple times a year. I rarely travel for more than 5 days and I trying to be home in time to enjoy my weekend with the kids. With the frequent travel I would like to meet someone who might jump a jet to parts unknown and enjoy time in undicovered placess.

Since my life revolves around my kids and their futures I spend time camping, fishing, exploring the natural wonders of our state, of course I also take in the fun of Cliffs, Disney Land, Lego Land, Sea World and whatever else excites them. I like to travel and since work consists of flying everywhere the kids and I have come to enjoy our trips traveling by train to many destinations, of course we still fly when time is an issue or the tracks don't take us there. I enjoy the hot springs in New Mexico and sitiing around a campfire in the mountains doing nothing but looking at the stars.

I am very honest and have deep core values that many describe as old fashion but they steer my life and my decisons to do what is right. That being said, sometimes my immediate reaction may not be the best in any given situation but given a chance I will fall back, learn from the past, follow my values and normally make the right decision even if it is late. To be with me you need to be tolerant of someone who knows where the lines are and frequently goes outside of them looking for a better way. I am not satisfied doing things the way they have always been done or the way others do them to fit in. I believe that through experimentation comes discovery.

I like a lot of things. Sporting events, especially football; movies; traveling; gambling; boating; reading; current events. I like making people laugh and kinda raunchy sometimes. I am extremely independant (don't let that intimidate you!) Oh, heck, just contact me & I'm sure I can tell you about the real me.

I consider myself an energetic person and like to stay busy. I enjoy trying new things. I like music (especially going to live shows), and used to work for a company that promoted tours. I also enjoy watching movies. I like doing outdoor activities when I can, especially mountain biking and road cycling. Aviation is also something I enjoy - I'm an pilot.

I am a dancer and choreographer and that is my biggest passion. I recently ended a long term relationship and am trying to figure this dating thing out... I am funny, wild, weird, nerdy and just a little bit crazy.

I like to go out and have a good time, but I also love going to movies and coffee and reading.

The one thing I crave in life more than anything is passion.
